- Abstract
El presente artículo pretende realizar un análisis pragmático-cultural de dos construcciones infinitivas comúnmente utilizadas en el marco de los medios de comunicación del continente americano. Estas dos construcciones son el infinitivo enunciativo en español y el infinitif de narration en francés. Ambos infinitivos se consideran poco relevantes en gramáticas de ambas lenguas y monografías sobre el infinitivo. Por un lado, al infinitivo enunciativo se le califica de incorrecto e inadecuado, de tal suerte que estudiosos del español reprueban su uso y proponen el empleo de otro tipo de construcciones en su lugar. Por otro lado, al infinitivo narrativo se le considera arcaico, pues según estudiosos del francés, esta forma fue sumamente empleada en el siglo XVII, pero en la actualidad ya no la utilizan los hablantes del francés. Nosotros en este estudio nos proponemos evidenciar que estas dos construcciones son de uso común en diversos países de América y por ello, no debería reprobarse su empleo ni obviarse su estudio, sino analizarse desde diversas perspectivas. Es por lo anterior que, en este artículo nos hemos planteado el objetivo de elucidar los factores pragmático-culturales que favorecen la utilización de ambas construcciones infinitivas en el marco de textos provenientes de diferentes medios de comunicación de América Latina y Canadá.
