- Title
CPC Has European Corn Wet Milling Business Up For Sale.
- Abstract
The article reports on the decision of CPC International to sell its European corn wet milling business. CPC, one of the largest corn wet millers based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, is looking for buyers who are willing to purchase its milling business, which accounts for about $1 billion per year of the firm's net sales. Selling the milling business would result to significant reduction on CPC's corporate and divisional overheads by some $25-30 million. CPC President James R. Eiszner added that the reduction of the overheads as a result of the selling of the milling business, would lead to about $70 million cutback on the firm's projected expenditures.
