- Title
INTEREST AND CAPITAL: THE MONETARY ECONOMICS OF MICHAL KALECKI.
- Authors
Capie, Forrest
- Abstract
Kalecki was never described as a monetary economist but Toporowski argues that he left enough in the way of fragments in his work for Toporowski to be able to piece together Kalecki's views on money. According to some, the Polish economist Michal Kalecki (1899-1970) was nominated for the Nobel prize in economics just before he died at the comparatively young age of 70. In Part II, titled "Kalecki's Monetary Analysis Today", Toporowski reconstructs Kalecki's monetary economics in order to tackle the monetary controversies and issues that have arisen since his time.
