- Abstract
The responsibility for training, quality and transference that university has requires taking now thoughtful reflections on the guidelines underlying the policy of e-innovation. Embedded in a process of change and innovation, the emergency of TICs (Communication and Information Technologies) has meant an unprecedented take-off, which has allowed for talking about educational e-innovation and taking the exigency of reconsider the role of universities in these new sceneries. To this end, it is done a bibliometric review through a descriptive and quantitative methodology in the greatest impact and most international recognized databases, Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus in the period between 1987 and 2016, a bibliographical revision mainly about titles, keywords, abstracts and content in general of the 367 articles considered in the evidence to value the e-innovation impact in the aforementioned data bases. Additionally, the analysis of relations which are established between the key words is formulated by their graphic depiction through the computer program of data display VOSviewer. The results presented focused on the review and reflection of what has been published in scientific journals allow us the review and reflection to take the right steps for institutionalizing e-innovation in the higher education space. Responsibility must assume any educational institution.
