- Abstract
The article focuses on a study comparing the safety and efficacy of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs ranibizumab and bevacizumab in an injected-and-extend regimen for age-related macular degeneration at clinical centers in Norway which found equivalent effects on vision, and a need for more injections with bevacizumab, and serious adverse events including myocardial infarction, stroke and death because of vascular causes.
