- Abstract
Nationalist education should be reflected in the curriculum in this time. It is necessary to actualize it using an approach, method, or technique in teaching. Part of this proposed nationalist education is the union of different connections: studentteacher, content-method, power-skills which are included in the new courses to extol the sense of nationalism. In this study, the basis or context to analyze the nationalist education is the three current new courses in General Education-Filipino from the proposal of Commission on Higher Education. These courses aim to have a grounded nationalist education for the future teachers from the Philippine Normal University. The syllabi were made in assuring the proposed perspective of scrutinizing nationalist pedagogy to feature peculiarity. From simple description of nationalist pedagogy in the context of different courses, the contribution of the study is the stage on how to plan, to create, and to implement a method to address the societal needs. The study is open for resumption based on the recommendations of teachers and students to promote nationalist pedagogy in different courses in aiming to nurture holistically developed individual.
