- Abstract
The article focuses on the embryological ideas exploring Mesopotamian cuneiform accounts regarding the formation and development of the fetus in womb based on the concepts of embryology. Topics include incantations used in pregnancy and childbirth, descriptions of sexual intercourse in Sumerian and Akkadian literature, and concepts of division between male and female physiological functions and sexual roles.
