- Abstract
The article discusses various aspects of procedural justice and policing in America, and it mentions interactions between U.S. police officers and African American men and litigation in the wake of a police shooting involving Officer Darren Wilson and a man named Brown. Law enforcement legitimacy is addressed in relation to an individual's ability to self-regulate and obey the law. Police shootings in the U.S. are examined, along with America's Task Force on 21st Century Policing.
