- Abstract
The article presents a poetry criticism of the poem "Orlando Furioso" by Italian poet Ludovico Ariosto and a literary criticism of the book "Orlando: A Biography" by English writer Virginia Woolf. Topics discussed include the character of "Orlando" being central in both the works, Woolf's "Orlando" being capable of being of either gender, and the characters of "Marfisa" and "Bradamante" in Ariosto's poem.
