- Title
DISLOCACIONES Y OTRAS VIOLENCIAS EN EL CIRCUITO TRANSNACIONAL DE LA LITERATURA LATINOAMERICANA.
- Authors
Rueda, María Helena
- Abstract
The article discusses the international literary market as an exchange not only of commercial products but of sociological and cultural ideas. As a space for social exchange, then, Latin American literature becomes a place that cannot remain neutral and must reflect the societal realities of violence and dislocation. The author notes that displacement results from violence, and in the case of Latin American literature, from war. Themes of desire, terrorism, wandering and assassination are explored, and the article concludes by discussing the overarching theme of a journey and its travelers as an answer to the globalized literary market.
