Community health factors play a role in determining outcomes for patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. The transplant community, health advocacy groups, insurers, and government agencies must identify and remedy the reversible challenges and barriers to the successful application of this potentially lifesaving procedure for all patients who may benefit.
