- Abstract
The article provides information on the turtle rocks which are formed after weathering in concretions of calcite filled fractures. An overview of turtle rock from the Cretaceous pelagic limestone in the ophiolite sequence of Andaman Islands, India is presented. It discusses Various mechanisms for the formation of concretions and suggests that turtle fossils should be distinguished carefully.
