- Abstract
The article discusses several results obtained in a study which compared measurements in polar firn air, and utilized numerical models to present a trend and budget analysis of seven halogenated gases. It examines some measurements generated in polar firn using an atmospheric chemistry modelling which include firn diffusivities, relative diffusion coefficients, and trace gas ages. It also analyzes the observed atmospheric concentration trends, and the results of the halocarbon lifetime tests.
