The article focuses on the fictitious character Costard who plays Gnaeus Pompey Magnus in the theatrical production "Love's Labour's Lost," by William Shakespeare. It states that Costard is a character with clownish traits and presents a powerful role as Pompey. It says that Costard's role is appropriate for the production which has a concept of linguistic, intellectual, and spiritual poses. It adds that Pompey being a poor man has been connected to the perfect self character of Costard.
