Making gardening activities easier to manage.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the benefits of gardening as a recreative activity for older people in residential care homes. Gardening can reduce frustration, anxiety and stress and increase receptiveness to the approach of other people, and can help to channel aggressive feelings into productive behaviors. Residents can make use of lightweight tools that are easy to manage and can compensate for lost strength and range of movement.
