- Abstract
In this article I present two texts in Huastec of San Francisco (Southeastern Huastec). One is about the Huastec language, told by Felipa Mendo del Angel, and the other one is about Huastecan houses, told by Amelio Telésforo del Ángel Domínguez. In the fi rst story Felipa tells us about her childhood spent in the village of San Francisco Chontla, as well as her observations of her native language. In the second story Amelio explains in detail how a typical Huastecan house is built in his village. These are stories with ethnological and historical value, told in one of the three variants of the Huastecan language, namely Huastec of San Francisco (ISO 639-3 code HSF) or Southeastern Huastec.
