Klausner, David
- Abstract
An essay on the staging of the play "Crucifixion," in the late and early Great Britain is presented. It investigates the problems presented in the public recreation of a horrific act of torture and murder of Jesus, as well as the difficulties faced by those involved in mounting such a play. It examines the staging techniques applied by theatre director E. Martin Browne and Margaret Burkitt in staging the "Crucifixion" plays.
