- Abstract
The article focuses on privacy and anonymity in using the Internet. It notes that web surfing is not at all anonymously done in cases such as when one do searches in the Internet, the pages that he or she has gone through will be catalogued immediately on the IP address of the computer used. Tips and suggestions regarding privacy and security in browsing the Web, such as logging on to proxy servers available in the network, and using browser-cleaning applications such as the free software CCleaner are also presented.
