The article explores on the 111 Texas Rangers of the Callahan Expedition which began crossing the Rio Grande on October 1, 1855. It highlights the newspaper reports and documents containing the evidence of slave-hunting venture. It also cites the failure of the U.S. Army to pleas for help following the attacks of the Indians.
