- Title
TELEVISING LEGISLATURES: THE BRITISH AND AMERICAN EXPERIENCE.
- Authors
Franklin, Bob
- Abstract
The article reports on the American and British experience in televising their legislatures. It examines the progress of the Select Committee on Televising the Proceedings of the House and the objections raised by some Members of Parliament. The American experience of televising congressional proceedings is evaluated to determine what lessons British parliamentarians and media people can learn from it. Members of parliament are finding it difficult to do the detailed implementation of the proposal.
