- Title
Every ureteral stone deserves conventional management prior to intervention.
- Authors
Tonyali, Senol; Turan, Serdar
- Abstract
In their research, the authors aimed to determine if there is a difference between patients in terms of stone-free rates who underwent early (in 36 h) versus late ureteroscopy (URS) (later than 36 h) in combination with medical expulsive therapy (MET). While there are alternatives such as extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for upper ureteral calculus and MET for distal ureteral calculus, directing a patient to an early URS might cause ethical problems.
