- Abstract
The article discusses application of the concept of "As Low As Reasonably Achievable"(ALARA) in pediatric diagnostic imaging. The ALARA principle provides interventional procedures that could protect children from radiation injuries caused by radiation exposures from high radiation dose such as in fluoroscopic examinations. The ALARA concept maximize imaging efficiency though patient radiation exposure are reduced.
