Sheffield to tackle noise nuisance.
- Abstract
The article reports on the launch of the out of hours nuisance service by the Sheffield Council to address noise pollution in England in 2009. The launch of the service was activated after the number of complaints regarding people creating noise at night increased to 2,802 in 2006-2007 from 1,885 in 2005-2006. Launching the service, city council leader Paul Scriven stated that local people complained that noise nuisance have a serious impact in their quality of life.
