- Abstract
This research aims to present a suggested proposal for activating digital academic advising as an educational soft power to support students’ performance in the Colleges of Education for Early Childhood in light of contemporary challenges and developments. The descriptive research approach was utilized. A questionnaire was developed and applied to a sample of (633) female students in the College of Education for Early Childhood, Minia University to diagnose the reality and obstacles of digital academic advising in the College. The research revealed some results and the most significant of which in the first axis was that the average of the first-dimension response rate “The significance of digital academic advising for female students” was (0.86) and of the second dimension “Requirements of activating digital academic advising in the College” was (0.88), which were higher than the upper interval confidence level, indicating their achievement to a large extent. Besides, the average of the third dimension response rate “Mechanisms and applications of digital academic advising in the College” on the (college’s website, official social media, the educational platform “University Courses Platform”, and the student’s university academic mail) was higher than the upper interval confidence level, indicating its achievement to a large extent, while the average response rate in the “Digital academic advisor” dimension was less than the lower interval confidence level, indicating that it was not achieved to a large extent. However, the average response rate of the second axis “Obstacles of digital academic advising as an educational soft power” was (0.74), which was higher than the upper interval confidence level, indicating its existence to a large extent.
