- Abstract
The article discusses a case study of 7-year -old boy who was presented with ventricular septal defect and was admitted for surgical intervention. It discusses the internal jugular vein (IJV) catheterization techniques used for catherization of a central vein. The article discusses the complications associated with IJV catherization clinical practice which may lead to arterial and subclavian arterial puncture, that sometimes can be a life-threatening complication.
