- Abstract
TiO single crystals have attracted much interest in the fields of optics, photoelectrochemistry, energy, and the environment due to their unique structure and photophysical and photochemical properties. In this paper, a solid-state reaction of TiF in air at a temperature range of 400-600 °C results in anatase TiO single crystals with high crystallinity and purity. The anatase TiO single crystals possess typical truncated bipyramids shape. The F atoms of TiF were gradually substituted by O atoms during the solid-phase transformation, which was revealed by XRD and TG-DTA.
