- Abstract
A series of activated carbon-supported Co (Co/AC) catalysts were prepared by impregnation method, and characterized by N physisorption, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and H temperature-programmed reduction. The results reveal that the Co oxides-activated carbon interaction plays an important role in the CoO dispersion. These Co/AC catalysts were applied to hydrogenation of SiCl to produce SiHCl, and the catalytic results demonstrate that Co(2.0)/AC catalyst shows a high catalytic activity with 13.8 % SiHCl yield at 750 °C and exhibits good stability, which the catalytic activity maintains at least 100 h at 600 °C and 30 h at 750 °C.
