- Abstract
The article explains the need to fill the void about intellectual property protection in the U.S. left by the Supreme Court cases Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank International and Impression Products Inc. v. Lexmark International Inc. It discusses how copyright and patent law interact to protect software. The court's trend to remove patent protection from the software industry is discussed, as well as the possibility of using copyright law to achieve robust intellectual property protection.
