- Authors
GHORBI, DARIAN
- Abstract
The article discusses the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) regarding the radioactive water discharge at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant in Japan. It states that the dumping of radioactive water has questioned the efficacy of the international framework for radioactive ocean dumping. It highlights that the London Convention and the London Protocol do not apply to the radioactive ocean dumping that occurred at the power plant.
