- Authors
Hodin, Mark
- Abstract
Presents literary criticism of the play "The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window" by Lorraine Hansberry, particularly existentialism in the play and the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus. The author attempts to analyze the play's dramatic structure and parallel Hansberry with the Parodus sisters in the play. Edward Albee's absurdist play "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf?" is considered as is Hansberry's play "A Raisin in the Sun."
