- Abstract
The author expresses his views on the victory of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in the elections that were held in Mexico on July 1, 2012. Mexico was under the administration of National Action Party (PAN) presidents Felipe Calderón and Vicente Fox prior to the said elections. The peaceful turnover of power symbolizes the maturity of democracy and the popularity of the principle of electoral accountability. The author also offers information on the financial crisis that Mexico experienced in 2009.
