- Abstract
This document discusses the importance of sustainable food packaging in reducing waste and protecting the environment. It highlights various types of biobased polymers that can be used in packaging materials, as well as different methods for film formation. The document also provides an overview of six articles that focus on the effects and applications of sustainable food packaging in different types of foods. These articles cover topics such as the use of surfactants in sodium alginate coatings, pH-responsive films for monitoring pork freshness, substitute materials in food contact materials, intelligent packaging for food freshness detection, gas-regulating packaging for fruit preservation, and the use of waste materials for sustainable packaging films. The document concludes by discussing future trends and challenges in sustainable food packaging, including the need for innovative packaging technologies and the demand for multi-functional packaging.
