- Title
The Gaza War Roils U.S. College Campuses: A Brief.
- Authors
MAHMOOD, SOHAIL
- Abstract
The Gaza conflict has led to widespread pro-Palestinian protests on U.S. college campuses, resulting in arrests and calls for divestment from companies linked to Israel. The conflict has caused severe aid shortages in Gaza, with thousands of Palestinians killed and injured. American university students have been at the forefront of these protests, demanding a ceasefire and divestment from companies supporting Israel's war on Gaza. The protests have faced opposition from law enforcement and university administrations, leading to suspensions and threats against the protesting students. While the intensity of the protests may decrease during the summer break, students remain determined to continue until there is a ceasefire.
