- Abstract
The article compares the electromyographical (EMG) activity of the triceps brachii (TB), biceps brachii (BB) and brachioradialis (BR) muscles during strikes with and without impacts in Yau Man Kung Fu. EMG analyses in time and frequency domains indicated higher TB and BR muscle activity for the strikes with impacts. No significant difference was found in BB in strikes with and without impact. The wavelet power spectra pattern of the muscles were the same in both strikes.
