- Abstract
A case study of a 5-year-old girl who reported with a complaint of frequent palpitations is presented. It is noted that her mother and brother had white leaf-shaped hypomelanotic macules and the brother also had cardiac tumors. It notes that the girl was diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) presenting with tachycardia as an autonomic phenomenon of epilepsy. It is noted that the oral carbamazepine caused tachycardia to disappear and it did not recur when propranolol was discontinued.
