- Abstract
The practice of cycling grows and develops every day, where practitioners seek not only through competitions, but also focused on sports practices, with this people begin to see the bicycle as a tool for the practice of sports and the practice of activity. and helping to promote health. Mountain bike is a form of contact with nature and its practice combined with physical activity results in benefits, the body develops and needs to obtain balance, resistance, strength, agility, power, perceptive and cardiovascular conditioning. The present study aimed to analyze the profile of Mountain Bike (MTB) practitioners in the city of Chapecó SC. For this, a closed questionnaire with 13 questions was applied for data collection, with 266 amateur cyclists participating, 52% male and 42% female, with an average age between 18 and 60 years old. In the end, it can be concluded that the practice of mountain biking grows and develops every day and this is demonstrated in the city of Chapecó-SC, and has become a tool for sports and physical activity, helping to promote health.
