- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a newborn girl with erythema and blisters on the extremities. It notes diagnosis of incontinentia pigmenti (IP), also known as Bloch–Sulzberger syndrome, which is a rare X-linked dominant genodermatosis; and mentions low disease prevalence, however, delays the diagnosis due to the lack of familiarity of medical staff with the typical skin findings.
