- Abstract
Considering that the Inter-American Court of Human Rights recently judged a case of violence against trans women, this paper aims to identify the possible consequences of the judgment of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights Vicky y otras vs. Honduras relating it to trans feminicide in Brazil and the judgment of the first case in which the Court recognizes femicide and guarantees regarding the Personality Rights of trans women. The starting point questions the relevance of the first sentence referring to the murder of a transgender woman in Latin America. Using inductive reasoning, through research in the case study, comparative and historical research and using documentary and bibliographic research. It is concluded that more than the typification itself, what is needed is to identify violence against the LGBTI+ community and especially the trans women.
