- Abstract
The article aims at the formative experiences related to diversity in the development of the teaching identity of scholars and supervisors of the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching - PIBID of the State University of Bahia - UNEB. The objective is to analyze the understandings of ID scholars and supervisors in initial and continuing education, considering their experiences in the interdisciplinary subproject "diversity and teaching and Research in basic education". The study was anchored in qualitative research, having as devices interviews narratives and training memorials. We use the methodological approach of (auto) biography related to diversity in the school context, particularly those related to ethnic / racial relations, gender diversity and sexualities from the point of view of the affirmation of human rights. As a result, we noticed that the focus of analysis of the research collaborators was anchored in a perspective of intercultural understanding about diversity, a fact that favored the development of an analysis that considers the reality of the students of the basic school.
