- Abstract
The article reveals that the Report to the Nation on Occupational Fraud and Abuse by the 2008 Association of Certified Fraud Examiners' (ACFE) shows that small-businesses are constantly worrying about fraud. The report states that companies could add 7% to its bottom line if it is able to prevent pilferage from the business. The 2008 ACFE report noted that 89% of reported occupational fraud cases involve misappropriations of assets with an average loss of 150,000 U.S. dollars.
