The article presents a case study of the role of narrative reasoning in judicial decision. It explores how storytelling or narrative theory affect lawyers and judges in making a decision in actual cases based on the client's perspective. It discusses the litigation involving the U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) of President Barack Obama, while maintaining the focus of Applied Legal Storytelling (AppLS) on practical applications of story telling.
