- Abstract
The article offers information on various legislation regarding science and technology in the U.S. A progress report which suggests new methods to deal with the problems in the congressional approach to science and technology has been issued by the Subcommittee on Science, Research, and Development, with Democrat Emilio Daddario as chairman. A case study on environmental pollution of federal laboratories, prepared by the Legislative Reference Service of the Library of Congress, has been issued by the Research and Technical Programs Subcommittee of the House Committee on Government Operations. As per the Federal Insecticide, Fugicide, and Rodenticide Act, pesticide manufacturers will not be allowed to use labels disclaiming responsibility for the effectiveness or safety of the products.
