- Abstract
The study "The 24/7 anywhere branch: Mobile-banking improves financial decision-making – or does it?" examines the impact of mobile banking on customers' financial decision-making. The results show that customers who use mobile banking access information about their financial situation more frequently and therefore make better financial decisions. In particular, mobile banking users reduce their overdraft interest and fees, decrease their consumption, increase their credit card usage, and transfer money from savings accounts during overdraft periods. The study is based on extensive data from a German bank and contributes to research on mobile banking.
