- Abstract
The Homeopathic collection included in the Pharmacy History Museum in Sibiu, part of the Brukenthal National Museum, counts 2910 vials. The homeopathic remedies were inventories and analyzed identifying 227 vials with 49 types of remedies of animal origin. From the total number 54 % have invertebrate origin, 23 % vertebrate sources and 23 % had biotherapeutic bases. The homeopathic remedies listed include decimal homeopathic dilutions or potencies (D), centesimal homeopathic dilutions or potencies (C), mother tinctures (Ɵ) and homeopathic triturations (T). Analyzing the use of these remedies we have discovered many resembles to old traditional medicine in Romania.
