- Abstract
A fibre-reinforced composite (FRC) fixed prosthesis is an innovative alternative to a traditional metal restoration, as it is a conservative treatment method. The purpose of this article was to present a detailed procedure for restoring a missing left central incisor with an FRC. A 13-year-old girl visited our department with missing 21 which she had lost 2 years ago because of trauma. A semi-direct technique was used to fabricate a FRC fixed partial prosthesis for its replacement. The FRC framework using a duplicated cast model and flowable composite resin and an acrylic pontic shade were selected at chair side. This technique not only offers a conservative, aesthetic, and non-invasive treatment but also enables the clinician to replace a missing tooth helping in minimizing the aesthetic problems, tooth reduction and cost.
