- Abstract
The article discusses recent technological advances relating to quality control instruments used in the textile industry for fabric dying. Previous processes of shade matching garments and quality control are mentioned along with the implementation of new technologies such as spectrophotometers and shade matching computers. Product briefs for several new or improved products or systems including the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) System, the Shademaster D25M-9 made by Hunter Associates Laboratory, and the Macbeth Series 1555 H shade sorter.
