In this article the author discusses criticism of Gilbert Levine on academic research. He is critical of Levine's partly misplaced views on academic research as not useful and esoteric only to people who will respond to the publication. The author comments that Levine indicate as valid only research that relates on immediate economic issues. An overview of the author's views are also offered.
