- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) on analgesia and peripheral sensory thresholds in patients with burn scar pain. In the study, subjects showed clinical signs of pathological postburn scars (PBBS) and symptoms of neuropathic pain. The results on the visual analogue scale (VAS) and quantitative sensory testing (QST) were monitored. Based on results, EA is effective in some patients with severe burns neuralgia.
