- Abstract
The article presents information on a study which established the characteristics of chronic pancreatitis (CP) in English cocker spaniels (ECS). Information from pathological studies on CP in dogs is provided with emphasis on the distinctive and histological appearance in ECS. Selection criteria for study subjects are presented along with the process of data collection, abdominal ultrasonography, and examination of histological samples. Results are discussed indicating distinct CP in ECS compared to other breeds with CP notably duct destructive.
