- Abstract
Gross morphological and biometrical studies were conducted on the testes in adult Bakerwali goat. The testes were oval and elongated in outline, but the dorsal pole of the testes were more rounded and convex than the ventral pole. The mediastinum testis was found to be located centrally. Biometrical studies with parameters viz. length, breadth, thickness, weight, volume, shape index, testicular volume and testicular parenchymal volume were recorded for right and left sides separately. Although there was a bilateral variation between the mean values of right and left testes in respect of all the biometrical parameters, it was not found to be statistically significant.
